Duval Schools & Learning Assistance
All Florida schools will be closed through the end of the school year.
The Duval HomeRoom initiative will keep your child moving forward educationally with creative and familiar approaches to instruction appropriate for his or her grade level. Many of our activities will utilize learning platforms and programs your children routinely use. This instruction will be delivered in a way that your children can continue learning from the comfort of home while avoiding large groups as directed by health officials.

If your student does not have access to a computer, please fill out this survey for DCPS to provide the necessary materials.Beginning Tuesday, March 17, a “grab and go” school lunch and snack will be available for students. These lunches may be picked up curbside at all district managed school campuses between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Students may receive the meal at their nearest school location. They do not have to go to their attendance school; however, the student must be present to receive the meal. Duval County Schools are now serving “grab and go” dinners for pick up between 11am-1pm.

Health Assistance
Contact the COVID Call Center at the Florida Department of Health at (866) 779-6121 or COVID-19@flhealth.gov. If you develop symptoms such as fever, cough, and/or difficulty breathing, and have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 or have recently traveled from an area with ongoing spread of COVID-19, stay home and call your healthcare provider. Care for Your Coronavirus Anxiety The Shine App created this website to help with mental health specifically to deal with the impacts of COVID-19. Hits on anxiety, financial fears, isolation, xenophobia, info for parents, etc. Also has meditations, articles to read, and ways to take breaks.

Florida Blue and New Directions Behavioral Health have teamed up to offer a hotline to help Floridians deal with their anxiety over the COVID-19 crisis. Specially trained behavioral health counselors will answer the phone 24-hours a day and offer assistance in both English and Spanish. To receive assistance, please call 833-848-1762.

Feeding Northeast Florida has a large network of food distribution partners. If you are in need of assistance, check out one near you.
Feeding Northeast Florida is providing meal kits for families that contain shelf-stable items, produce, and meat when available. For more information on the agencies distributing these, click here.Food Finder is a national website that shows low-income families when and where to get free food from their closest pantry. There is also a mobile app, search for "Food Finder- Fighting Hunger."

Maple Street Biscuit Company is selling pantry items from their store in Murray Hill at low costs. Items include toilet paper, bottled water, paper towels, and fresh fruits and veggies. Learn more here.
Comcast "As our country continues to manage the COVID-19 emergency, Comcast is taking immediate steps to help connect low-income families to the Internet at home. New Internet Essentials customers will receive two free months of Internet service, which is available to all qualified low-income households for $9.95/month plus tax. Learn more here.AT&T is suspending the termination of wireless, home phone or broadband service when customers can't pay their bills because of coronavirus disruptions.
